Police constable jumps in front of moving train and dies

A 30-year-old police constable, Sanjay Prasad, today August 4, committed suicide by jumping in front of a Delhi Metro train, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) said.

The incident occurred around 2.30 p.m. (10 a.m GMT) at the Patel Chowk station in the heart of the capital when the man leaped before a train heading towards the Huda City Centre in Gurgaon, a CISF official told IANS. Sanjay died after jumping on the Metro track from platform 2.

He was identified as a member of the communications wing of Delhi Police’s east district office.  No suicide note was found.
