Do fitness apps really help you lose weight?

Researchers say that less than 1% of weight-loss apps have been developed by a certified health organisation or university.

It's one of the reasons to make one question whether fitness apps which have proliferated the app world, really works.

Or are they a hindrance?

I'm just wondering, haven't done a survey yet.

I've actually noticed that many fitness trackers don’t differentiate the types of calories people consume and don’t help users learn to enjoy exercise perpetuate the problems associated with yo-yo dieting and make people gain weight over time.

What do you think, people?
