Nigerian man arrested while selling drugs near a primary school

A Nigerian national in his 30s has been arrested for dealing drugs in Silverton, Pretoria, South Africa.

Silverton police said the man was caught selling drugs near a primary school after being investigated for over a month, following a tip-off. Police refused to name the primary school.

“During routine crime prevention patrols K9 security members spotted the man at a wifi area next to the school where children use the wifi hotspot,” said Silverton Police spokesperson Jan Sepatu.

The suspect will soon appear at the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court for drug dealing.

“We would like to thank the community, K9 members, Mathys Heyns and Frank Brink for responding to the-tip off,” Sepatu said.

The public was urged to report suspect behaviour on 0128454000/4011/4028.

He was arrested on Friday, April 29.
