Images: UN slams Paris Hilton, Khloe Kardashian & co for endangering apes after selfies with orangutans

Khloe Kardashian and Paris Hilton have been slammed by the United Nations for 'glamourising' trafficking of endangered species after posing with baby orangutans in the UAE.

Several celebrities, including Khloe, Paris and Real Madrid footballer James Rodriguez, have posted pictures of themselves hugging orangutans at a Dubai zoo to millions of Instagram followers.

Their endorsement has been labelled 'incredibly damaging' by the UN's Great Apes Survival Partnership (GRASP), who said their behaviour 'contributes to the destruction of already endangered species'. The UN says that the Apes in the celebrities' Instagram snaps 'all obtained illegally'.
