Body of British man left lying in Indonesian morgue for THREE MONTHS because nobody has claimed him

The passport of Scott Roddie

The body of a British man has been in an Indonesian hospital morgue for three months because no-one from his family has claimed him.

Officials on the island of Batam have launched an appeal to trace relatives of Scott Roddie following his death in March.

The 52-year-old died of natural causes while working on the island, where he had had been living.

But attempts to trace the expat’s family have failed and now the hospital’s management has become worried about the condition of his body.

Roddie, of Dundee , passed away while undergoing medical treatment at Awal Bros Hospital in March.

No one came forward to pick up his body so the hospital later sent his body to the main BPK Hospital, reports the Daily Record.
